Katherine G. Fermín, known professionally as Cromwell, is a digital visual artist and motion designer specializing in generative art, procedural animation, and visual programming.
Her practice bridges algorithmic precision and psychological resonance through a sophisticated synthetic meta-simulation pipeline utilizing computational systems, procedural fluid solvers, advanced optical shaders, and languages like Processing to compose dynamic visualizations.
Bypassing traditional rendering pipelines, her work transforms generative models and code into a meta-simulator: an infrastructure driven by high-density algorithmic commands that translate complex physical phenomena—such as high-viscosity liquid dynamics, optical refraction, and structural tension—into tangible digital matter.
